Title: ABC'S "The River"

Did anyone catch the premier of "The River"?  What did you think?  I thought it was scary for scary's sakes but a lot of it was just thrown in your face and didn't make sense.  I'm thinking it will come in to focus as the series goes on.

I'm thinking they're probably taking a page from "Lost" and making it up as the go along, which will lead to the inevitable clusterf*&k in the endgame.  If I'm proven wrong, I might watch it on DVD.
