That seems to happen with different podcasts every so often.  It's one of those computer things no one can figure out.  PP always works well on my iPod, but I've had other podcasts where one episode is funky.  Nobody else seems to have a problem with that specific episode, but I can't get it to work for me no matter how many times I download it.  Then the next is fine.

I know it's no help, but that's my experience.

My best guess would be something interrupted the download, and the partially downloaded file sitting in the folder is blocking a new download/replacment.

Assuming you are using ITunes, If you would go into you MY MUSIC directory, to podcasts, to escapepod, and delete the offending file, you should be able to download again and it should be fine.

I really do recommend Itunes, it works well, is free, and automatically updates podcasts for you.
