Fundable Films?

Hey Steve.  Hey all.

Maybe some of you can help me with a question...

What happened to Fundable Films?  I remember Steve endorsing it a while back (perhaps as long as a year ago) and I thought it was a great idea and donated to the site hoping to get some free stakes in the site (future movies) that Steve talked about (someone please correct me if I'm wrong).

Anyway, Fundable Films (fundablefilms.com now redirects to thefilmlot.com), to my knowledge, no longer exists.  Or, at least, they've changed names and no longer do what they once set out to do.  So my question is this:  Can I get my money back?  I donated money thinking they were doing to do one thing and now they're doing another.  Anyone have any info/help on this subject?

Yes, they've gone through a couple of name changes, but Andy Doan and the company are still around.  They initially changed the name from Fundable Films to FilmLot, but lost a trademark battle over that one, so now they're FilmRiot:

I like the idea of Fundable Films er... film riot.  It's an economically viable idea, but I wish there was a little more communication about what they're working on.

I donated to them last fall/X-mas when they had a promotion going.  For $35 you could get a fundable films t-shirt and a $50 voucher.  After a couple months and niether came I contacted them and was told stuff was on order, but it would be a while.  Three months later I tried again.  Apparently there was a lot of demand, the shirts had come and gone and I didn't make the cut.  They offered to refund the money, but declined.  I look at it as an investment that just wasn't going to pay off. 

After this experience I don't think I would invest with them again.  If they would just put some film ideas up there on their site with a "contribute" button under them it would help immensely.  Not to lessen that Mr. Doan is doing, but if you can't keep investors happy and let them know where their money is going there isn't going to be much of a future for it.
