Sometimes I really miss living in Manhattan.

I do as well, during winter and summer holidays. Which unfortunately means I'll be missing this.

I Twitter. I also occasionally blog on the Escape Pod blog, which if you're here you shouldn't have much trouble finding.

Video will be available too once it finishes "processing" on youtube. If interested, "friend" me on youtube - the video is set to private because I was unsure about copyright stuff. My username there is Queensowntalia.

UGH never mind that, it was rejected for being "too long". Its only 23 minutes long. WTF?

Incidentally, his new fiancee, Amanda Palmer of the Dresden Dolls, was there too. During the last number the orchestra invited everyone to stand up and waltz, and they waltzed for a bit, it was very sweet (I looked away though, tried not to be too intrusive).

You can go above 20 minutes if you pay for a Director's level account. It's similar to the way Flickr limits regular users.

I believe the usual method is to just cut the video in half and post it in two parts.

Yeah, but how do you cut it in half?

I spent last night fighting with the damn thing. Windows Vista movie maker won't touch it in .mov form, which is what it.. apparently started as. I tried two different programs to turn it from .mov to .avi, the first one rendered it into.. something.. I dont know.. that was unopenable. The second program apparently somehow turned it audio-only.

I'd keep it in .mov and install the windows version of quicktime to split it.

You can with the Mac version of Quicktime, the Windows version may not have the same functionality.

You might try http://www.any-video-converter.com/products/for_video_free/ a free video converter that lets you specify exactly where your start and end points are, and what format of output.  AND it's free.  I've been using it for months now, and I love it.
