Joss Whedon is a guest in the most recent geekson-podcast and it is a treat. Very fun discussion on robots and AI.
But what really caught my ears was this tidbit near the end, when he was asked what he will be doing in the near future (about 1h 21 min):

Joss: "It's no secret that a lot of showrunners during this strike have spent time to find ways to monetize the internet to use it as a creative platform that does not involve the..."
Peter: "...assholes"
Joss: "monolithic..." (more geekson-chatter)
(...)
Joss: "it's basically, how can we do that ourselves. A lot of people are doing a lot of things in that. Beyond that I can't really say anything because it's all still embryonic, but I hope to be throwing down some of that pretty soon.

This is deeply interesting to me and would tie into what we discussed in http://forum.escapeartists.info/index.php?topic=631.100

Jossy Jossness all around.

He really is one of us, a total geek.

He's friggin' funny, too.

Great conversation on GeeksOn. I darn near soiled myself when it was loading into iTunes on my home computer. I thought it was a joke at first.

My imaginary omnipotent friend is more real that your imaginary omnipotent friend.

Thanks for the heads-up on this.
I doubt I'll want to suscribe to geekson but the AI episode certainly was entertaining. Even the non-Joss parts.

I feed The Pod.
