Seconded. I just picked up Steve's message about handing on and I have to say that takes bottle. To know what you're good at and what others do better then to pass over the latter to those with the skills takes real insight and courage. Atta boy Steve! And all the very best in your new role.

Science is what you do when the funding panel thinks you know what you're doing. Fiction is the same only without the funding.

'kay

i just listened to this metacast, and i just have a couple things to say. first, how is it that this community keeps ROCKING MY WORLD SO HARD? if the singularity occurs, it will be on this business model. i'm serious.

i have gotten so much personal joy from this podcast. i started listening because i love to be read to, and almost a year later i am still here, radically accepting my nerdlyness and loving it. i love Steve, perhaps more than is realistic for someone i have never met, but it is really the integrity of the whole thing that keeps me exited about it.

ok, and second. donating!! shoulda done it long ago.

sometimes you really gotta push people. it makes them feel good in the end, trust me. ira glass sends you emails.

Just saw this thread,  and thought I'd add in what I though.

I'm always trying to find reasons to be thankful to be alive.  EP has added yet another reason for me to put aside asking why I'm here and to just enjoying the time that I have.
