The End Of The World As We Know It

Those of you with long memories will recall my lovely and overly popular Best SF book of all time thread. Harmless fun, you may say.

Well I've improved on the concept, and if anyone's game, I still am.

For those that didn't read the SF book thread, this is a game that works like this.
A list of items:

Item 1 (3)
Item 2 (3)
The numbers in the brackets represent points. Each turn you can take one point from one item and add one point to another. once an item reaches zero points, it is eliminated and cannot be resurrected. You can't post twice consecutively and you can't take more than one point at a time, nor add more than one point.

Example:

Global Warming (3)
Grey Goo (3)

Person A

Global Warming (2) -1
Grey Goo (4) +1

Person B

Global Warming (1) -1
Grey Goo (5) +1

Remember to copy the whole list each time, and you can add new entries if you like (with 3 points each) .

Last time it was SF books. This time it is likely candidates for the end of humanity/the world.

Let's see what you think.

Grey Goo (Nanotech) (3)
Global Warming (3)
Alien Invasion (3)
Nuclear weapons/war to end all wars (3)
Natural Diasasters (3)
Superplague (3)
Sucked into a black hole (3)
Meteorite (3)
God/Jesus style end (3)
Death by Zombies (3)
Death by atrophy (3)
Heat Death (3)
Mass Technology Failure (3)
Robots Attack (3)
Sun asplodes (3)
Sea Level Rising (3)
Ice Age Coming (3)

Have Fun!

Too many items on the list, and the format isn't great.  Maybe you should start with a poll, let everyone have 3 choices and use those numbers as the starting numbers.

Mass boredom and apathy are basically the same thing, but I'll put it up on the poll.

And a new Britney Spears LP would be counteracted by a new LP from my one and only true love.

Boredom and apathy are quite distinct.  However, on your original list you had Global Warming and then three side effects of Global Warming.
