Hi everyone;

Nothing major, I'm just selling some consumer electronics.

A nintendo DS, games, an iPod, the like.

Do you think I should go to eBay and do this or to my local fixed price second hand exchange store? Ebay is more hassle but I might get more money. I'm tempted just to go to CeX and get some straight up cash though.

Craigslist is your best bet, and less risky that Ebay — they've been having worse scam problems than usual lately.

I Twitter. I also occasionally blog on the Escape Pod blog, which if you're here you shouldn't have much trouble finding.

That's only true if he's in a major city, Craigslist's cover is quite partial.

The problems on Ebay are more if you're buying.

Do a finished auction search on Ebay and check the prices, subtract for fees and trouble and come up with what you'd be willing to take from the store.  Then go to the store and see what they offer.  If they offer less than you want, say, "I was really hoping to get at least x."

True, though they've been expanding overseas. They've got a decent list of UK cities, though I'm not sure how much it's used over there. Assuming the Radiohead addicted Raving Lunatic is the same Radiohead addicted Thomas on the frappr map, he's close enough to use the Birmingham one here.

yes, I am thomas. Congrats.

If I'm being honest I had to google craigslist before I remembered what it was, so it's probably not used too much here.

I've decided I'm going to CeX the whole lot except for three of the games, because they're in high Ebay demand.
