Greg van Eekhout just announced on his blog that he's sold The Osteomancer's Son to Tor Books as a trilogy.

I'm pretty stoked about this - I love the story and the world and I'm thrilled to see how he spins it into a larger story and mythos.

So, congrats (again) to Greg. Very freaking cool, and can't wait to read it!

I absolutely loved this story.  It grabbed me right away at the opening lines and wouldn't let me go.  I can't wait to see what Greg van Eekhout does with a novel set in the same world(!?!?)! [...]
(From the story thread, lo so many years ago.)

I Twitter. I also occasionally blog on the Escape Pod blog, which if you're here you shouldn't have much trouble finding.

Too cool! I'll have to fire up the old fiction thumb drive today, and have a new listen of Osteomancer.

Facehuggers don't have heads!

Come with me and Journey Into... another fun podcast

Fantastic!  I wonder if Podcastle running the story helped get the novel published?

While I will never downplay the benefits of appearing on the Escape Artists' podcasts (I mean, hell, Wil Wheaton gave one of my pieces a shoutout ZOMG), I don't think the acquiring editor at Tor has listened to "Osteomancer's Son." I'm not even sure he read the story in print. As far as I know, the sale was based on a five-page synopsis and the first fifty pages of the book. But, hey, I could be wrong.

out of curiosity, i thought i saw the cabal influencing events in your short story, are you willing to comment one way or another about that?
