I'm off for Vacation - no internet for 4 days.  :(

I've tried to vote in all the polls that will close before I return. My only concern is the Semifinals 1. The poll is due to be posted on Friday, but I can't find info on how long we have to vote for that one. Here's hoping it's more than 3 days.... :-\

I think all polls have been at least a week.  Some of the Pseudopod ones were set for longer, but it's always been at least a week (except for EP Group 13, but that was a mistake, and the poll got restarted).

Thanks Unblinking!!

Back from vacation and didn't miss anything. Yeay!

So now that all the stories have been posted, can we forgo the waiting period between the last group finishing and the next level up getting started?

What waiting period? The quarter finals have been going on for a while and there's a semi going. Or do you mean how long it takes between the end of a poll and when its stories move over to the next level? I'm assuming that's predicated more on Swamp's amount of free time than on any policy.

And even that wait has usually been pretty short, often the same-day.

We have our winners!!

1st place
London Iron by William R. Halliar

Tied for 2nd place
Wheels of Blue Stilton by Nicholas J. Carter
           and
Light and Lies by Gideon Fostick

We will have to figure out how to divey up the prizes for Nicholas and Gideon.  I will be contacting the winning authors for their prize preferences and shipping details.  Interesting note:  Gideon won both 1st and 3rd place in our 2007 contest.  He's got the touch.

Honorable mentions that will also be purchased for production will be announced at a later time.

But really, what a great time this has been!  There were many, many great stories!  Thanks to everyone who participated!
