There have been a few of these run on EP over the years which have been very well received, so I thought I'd point everyone's attention to StarShipSofa 292, which includes the most excellent (and award-winning) 'Sergeant Chip' by Bradley Denton. Even if you don't generally listen to SSS it's worth it to at least hear this story, which I found very effective and moving. Plus an excellent reading. It's a bit lengthy but that was OK with me personally because I ended up loving it so much. Go listen.

Fuck yeah! I like that!

All cat stories start with this statement: “My mother, who was the first cat, told me this...”

Man...If I had a dime for every time I've said that...and for all of the NYC restraining orders against me...
