Here we go again.

I'm taking nomination for the worst movie polls.

My nominations:

Highlander 2
Armageddon
(I forget the third one)

Dungeons and Dragons

Strewth, I find this movie not so horrible as to be placed amongst the others in this list! A duel sirrah, or I'll have your honor discarded.

/Have to do something different for the second time around.

I Twitter. I also occasionally blog on the Escape Pod blog, which if you're here you shouldn't have much trouble finding.

If it doesn't belong, people won't vote for it.  I didn't see it, because it looked really bad.

You know, I want to say something about how horrible casting Marlon Wayans as comic relief in a high fantasy movie is, but he was pretty good in Requiem for a Dream.  So maybe I can't blame him.

I don't know, man, I just couldn't get into it.  At one point I turned it off because something else came up and then realized, I had absolutely no desire to finish watching it.  The characters were boring and 2-dimensional, I've put up a memory block in my own head regarding the plot because it was so painful, the setting and costumes looked like they'd ripped off a bunch of other 80s fantasy movies.  This could've been a great movie, especially with the LOTR hype building, but it just felt lame to me at every turn.

That said, you're probably right.  I'm not sure I'd vote for it over Be Cool or Highlander 2 or Supernova.  (Well, probably over Highlander 2.)

Men In Black 2
Robin Hood, Prince of Theives (Hell, stole like 5 bucks from me)
Wolf

Dungeons and Dragons was awful, but was partly redeemed by some realy cool CGI sequences.

There are, of course, truly awful movies I love, such as Barbarella.

Those two weren't good, but I wouldn't call them horrible.

Superman III was pretty awful.
I stand by my nomination of Robin Hood.  Kostner was easily the worst Robin Hood in the history of Robin Hoods.  I could really go on about this one, but I think I'm way out on the fringe here.

I didn't say the Robin Hood was anywhere near good.  I just said it wasn't anywhere near as bad as anything by Jerry Bruckheimer.

Nominations so far:
Armageddon
AvP (Alien vs. Predator)
Battlefield Earth
Be Cool
Catwoman
Dungeons and Dragons
Highlander 2
Jaws: the Revenge
King Arthur
Men In Black 2
Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves
star trek 5
Superman III
Supernova
Wolf

I saw Prince of Thieves when I was in 5th grade and loved it.  Maybe I was an idiot back then, I don't know.  People always bitch about Waterworld, too, but I don't get it.  It wasn't great, sure, but I didn't think it was the worst thing ever.  However, I absolutely HATED the Postman.

But hey, put it on the poll :)

I don't think you were an idiot.  I liked it too.  When I watched it again, things started to stick out.  I never got the hate for Waterworld either.  Seemed OK to me.
As for Jerry Bruckheimer, I agree, although Beverly Hills Cop was good.

I didn't include that one only because it was so easy to see in the trailers it was horrible.  It was almost like they admitted it sucked.

I would add "Red Sonja" Chris Rock's "CB4" but I would be surprised if anyone had seen them.

I remember them saying, that the best thing about the movie was that Brigette Nielson was so bad, she made it look like Schwarzennegger could act.

I've seen Red Sonja.  I wish I hadn't, but I have.  I put it along with Supergirl and Sheena: Queen of the Jungle as movies with female heroes made before Hollywood had a clue how to do it well.

Oh, and I know Batman & Robin got nominated before the data loss.  That really needs to be in the running.

I would submit that Superman IV (the one where Superman learns that trying to stop nuclear war is bad) would be much more deserving of being on a 'worst movie poll' than Superman III.

Superman 3 should get a pass because without it we'd never had have Office Space.
