Berlin had a freak snowstorm on friday (nov.10th) and I go to throw my first snowball of the season.  Did anybody beat me?

New York's been quiet... Too quiet. On that front anyway. Still noisy otherwise.

I Twitter. I also occasionally blog on the Escape Pod blog, which if you're here you shouldn't have much trouble finding.

Miami... meh.

I'd like to hear my options, so I could weigh them, what do you say?
Five pounds?  Six pounds? Seven pounds?

We got enough snow in Michigan last week to make things a little slushy, but not enough to make a snowball.  You win this round...

Cool!

We usually have snow by now in Central MN but nothing so far.  Going golfing tomorrow.  Awesome.

Curses!
The mountains got a few swaths of snow, but we didn't get up there 'till the 11th; apparently we were a day late and a snowball short.

My snow here was gone in less than a few hours, but the snow I got off the back of a car was fairly dry and about a cm deep.

I live near Atlanta, GA now, so no snow yet.  We may not get any at all.  In fact, I don't think we've had any accumulation in 3-4 years, so we're due.  I miss my snow :'(

We had a couple of inches of snow last week (in Sackville, New Brunswick, Canada) but the rain melted it all in a day or so.

Then today, strangely, I saw a pickup truck with the cargo bed piled high with fresh-looking white snow and a shovel handle sticking out of it. I can only guess it was really scrapings from a hockey rink that he wanted to use for something.

I never thought of the hockey rink shavings.  I guess I could pretty much make a snowball any week of the year with the shavings laying outside our hockey arena.  They don't tend to last a day during July or August, however.

I'm pleased to note that the city that does sleep, just not all at once, has had it's first snow, and looking at the weather forecast more will be forthcoming shortly.
