The links, once again, go to IMDB instead of Amazon.  I didn't think anyone would be interested in buying one of these bombs.

Is it bad that I want to vote for a movie I've never seen?  Because I'm pretty sure I'd rather see all the other movies on the list before I watched that movie...

I'm proud to say I often vote for movies I haven't seen on this list.  Often, the previews are enough to know how horrid it's going to be, and stay far away.

Not this time though.  I saw Star Trek V even though I knew it would be bad.  Back then I used to be kind of a sucker for the franchises.  In fact, this film may be the one that cured me of that.

The biggest competition for me is The Postman, which I haven't seen, but man did it sound stinky.  Didn't really hear much about Stealth.  And I found something to enjoy in both Robin Hood and Red Sonja... in that enjoyably bad way.

Those were kind of guilty pleasure flicks.  They're not good, but since they weren't in your face bad, you could smile at them a little.

note:  I haven't seen Red Sonya, since it's original run on HBO.  I was only a kid.

I also had to go with Trek V, because - much to my chagrin - I didn't fall asleep when I watched it.

I had to go with the Postman.  I had read the book and was excited to see the movie (red flag:  Kevin Costner), especially after reading an interview with David Brin in which he said good things about it and gave his approval.  Wow, what a disapointment.  Can't believe Brin would say positive things about it when they made so many changes to his story.

Remember how they leaned on Anne Rice after she said Tom Cruise would make a shitty Lestat.  You have to toe the line if you want to keep selling books to Hollywood.

Y'know, friends of mine like to point out that I'm capable of finding something good in almost every movie and the presence on this list of two movies I'm actually kind of fond of (Robin Hood:Prince of Thieves and yes I KNOW it's not historically accurate, or geographically accurate or ANY SORT of accurate but when I was 14 it was the best movie I'd ever seen so let me have that, 'kay?) and Star Trek V (It's not very good but I actually enjoy the red-uniform era Star Trek movies far more than any other) seems to bear that out.

That being said though, Pluto Nash was LOUSY.

I can sympathise.  I'm hoping to get Red Sonja on DVD for Christmas this year.

Just out of curiosity, how many Costner movies will appear in these polls?

Just the two, but we only have 29 movies in the polls.  We still have technically one space left.  If anyone wants to go over to the nomination thread and add one more.

Possible tie.  Just as long as Trek makes it to the final round.

Star Trek V and Pluto Nash tie and both move on to the final round
