Hi folks—new to the forums, but not to Escape Artists podcasts—I’ve worked my way backward through Escape Pod, PodCastle, and PseudoPod, and am now doing the same with Cast of Wonders.  I listen on my iPhone through each podcast’s website.  It’s how I relax during the day and put myself to sleep at night.

I have a recurring problem, though:  virtually every time I listen to a podcast, I get a number of minutes in — the number of minutes varies— and suddenly the sound goes dead.  I look at the phone, and it appears that the page has reloaded, halting the playback.  It’s really frustrating.

Any suggestions re:  how to stop this from happening?

How long have you been experiencing this problem?

All cat stories start with this statement: “My mother, who was the first cat, told me this...”

Months now.  But I just joined the forum for the flash fiction contest.

Safari on my iPhone, which has the most recent OS.  I just discovered that I have no idea how to check which version of Safari per se I’m running.

(Also, weirdly enough, I was just reminded that the forum won’t accept the predictive text for “I’m.”  It only allows “I’ “.)

Just to close the loop on these issues:  since I posted, both problems seem to have been resolved.  I haven’t had a podcast’s sound interrupted, and I haven’t had the weird typing problem.  If anyone here did anything to fix either of the problems, thanks!
