And Then There Were None is a favorite science fiction short story, I would love to hear it on Escape Pod and I think it would be well suited. It may well be public domain by now too.

I haven't read this one. Sadly, this doesn't enter the public domain for another 25 or so years. Campbell got pretty good about making sure all his publications renewed and extended the copyrights.
All cat stories start with this statement: “My mother, who was the first cat, told me this...”
