Star Trek III: The Update:

Before starting I told her that STIII was the first Star Trek show of any kind that I was exposed to.  I saw it when I was about her age, and was impressed enough to start watching the TOS in syndication on our local soon-to-be-FOX station.

After it ended she asked, "So, what made you watch the show after that?"

I don't think she was impressed... even though I did my best impression of Doc Brown speaking Klingon to Marty McFly ever.
