On a side note... she's hooked on West Wing.  " It's funny... I like it!  But I don't understand it all."

Neither do we, sweetheart.  Neither do we...
I loved that show, but the time it took for Donna and Josh to get together was just insane.
Gah!  Spoilers!!  We're only in season 1!!!  (I guess I'll let the daughter be surprised.)
Sorry, but you'll have forgotten this by the time you get there, I guarantee it.

After Sorkin got bumped, the guy who did China Beach took over.  It was just never the same after that.

I cannot wait to have this same experience with my son! :D (he's not 2 yet; but if Elmo was Bilbo's favorite nephew, he might sit through it)

You hush that evil talk before they DO it!   "Elmo in Grouchland" I can ignore... "Elmo Goes to Mordor"... I would have to go on a quest that could only end in the torture and death of a lot of muppets!

Edit:  This is all the cuteness you should ever need.

Elmo can't go to Mordon silly.
Once does not simply walk into Mordor....
But elmo can sing and dance....
we're doomed.

Star Trek III: The Update:

Before starting I told her that STIII was the first Star Trek show of any kind that I was exposed to.  I saw it when I was about her age, and was impressed enough to start watching the TOS in syndication on our local soon-to-be-FOX station.

After it ended she asked, "So, what made you watch the show after that?"

I don't think she was impressed... even though I did my best impression of Doc Brown speaking Klingon to Marty McFly ever.  :(

This Wiki Won't Wrangle Itself!

I finally published my book - Tad's Happy Funtime is on Amazon!

I wish they had Klingon immersion programs for preschoolers like they do with Spanish and Chinese.

Those who would sacrifice liberty for safety deserve neither.
