The story was richly told, and I particularly liked the symptoms of the supernatural blending into the symptoms of senility: the sudden mood shifts, the abrupt hurtfulness, the unexpected sly yet completely ineffective lies. Shades of The Taking of Deborah Logan there.
I might have missed it; where did she get the baby's body from? Or was it not specified? That felt like a bit of a loose thread, given how much emphasis was placed on how she made the kwee kia from her hopes and dreams and not a murdered baby.
