Go on, take a swim. The water is fine, I promise. All that horrific stuff happened waayyy back in 2019. Nothing to worry about.

I'd like to hear my options, so I could weigh them, what do you say?
Five pounds?  Six pounds? Seven pounds?

Will there be a post with all the rules and details soon?

I write and design things. Sometimes they make sense.

Excellent question. This is a good place to start until the new one is up: http://forum.escapeartists.net/index.php?topic=10471.0

All cat stories start with this statement: “My mother, who was the first cat, told me this...”

How does Pseudopod consider the stories that don't win the contest:

   - They were rejected and can't be submitted to Pseudopod regular process; or
   - They have never been submitted to Pseudopod regular process, so they are still good to be submitted?

You can submit, but keep in mind that our next general submission period is probably going to be in the second half of 2022. And we'll be running our usual "one original + one reprint" submission opportunity. So polish them up, and in the meantime submit them to markets that encourage and support flash such as Nightmare and Flash Fiction Online and Apex and F&SF. Also, I think Crystal Lake regularly runs a flash fiction contest, but I haven't dug into the details of that.
