I want to know:

1.  How Kally will react when she finds out the Chief is a Cylon and that her baby is a half-breed.
2.  How the whole Lee Adama thing will play out now that he's a private citizen.
3.  How long it will take for more cylons to say "y'know what? let's just stop killing the humans."  (likely the D'anna, Six, and Boomer models... notice it's all the women who are sympathetic and the men who are generally the evil-er ones...)

And, honestly, I'm actually looking forward to the ending in the hopes that it's wrapped up cleanly.  I like being able to look forward to an ending without worrying that they're going to leave plot threads hanging just in case they need them.  DS9 was probably the best SF series I've seen that had a concrete ending -- Sisko and Garak die, Odo leaves, Kira takes over the station, and the Federation gets to rebuilding after the Dominion War.  Many of the others either had crap endings or were cancelled before they truly COULD end.  (And were on Fox, coincidentally...:)  With the way Galactica's been handled so far, and the fact that it's not on a network but on a cable channel, I'm less worried about it being cancelled.

"Razor" was aired several times and I missed seeing it every time.  >:(
Will that affect my understanding of the new season?

I have it on good authority (the voices in my head) that the last Cylon model is Muffy the daggit ...

... with voice acting by James Earl Jones.

I'm not a show insider, but I'm going to go out on a limb and say "no".

Razor was backstory about teh Battlestar Pegasus before it encountered the Galactica, and is no more required viewing than In the Beginning was for the fifth season of Babylon 5.

I debated if I should just repost my thoughts from the Razor thread, but it's a good 600 odd words and this thread hasn't had spoilers yet, so I'm just going to link to it. http://forum.escapeartists.info/index.php?topic=1167.0

With the original BSG, you were never sure (until the last season or so) if the characters were our descendants living in our far future, or our ancestors living in our past, or a split-off (in our past)culture developed in parallel, or what. I'm thinking of the Tutankhamen-style flight helmets for instance, and the Graeco-Roman mythology references.

So, now I'm wondering if in the new BSG series they'll arrive at Earth of the early 21st century.

Except that Deanna was the most enthusiastic about the occupation and the last time we see Boomer in season three she says she has had enough of humans. That said, I do wonder if the Cylons will call for peace as they vastly outnumber the Galactica and I can't see it surviving a fight without a Pegasus to save it.

I'm hoping that the last Cylon will be revealed as Horatio Caine, and that when he takes the 'shades of justice' off he fires optic blasts made of snakes. Anything else will just be a let-down.

I'm thinking that they will show up in the future.  B5 battleships versus cylons sounds cool.

I honestly think they'll end up way back in the BC. It seems to me like they're heading to a reconciliation more than anything else, and the human-cylon descendants become us, and in a few thousand years when we recreate the Cylons it all happens again, except Colbol-ward instead of Earth-ward.

Yes, the Cylons reveal they've worked out how to conduct intersteller travel through the use of giant rings and it turns out BSG are the precursors of the Stargate universe...

As a Stargate fan that would be EPIC.

I am looking forward to having a good science fiction show on tv again . . . heck, having a good show of any genre on tv is worth celebrating!

In terms of the characters, I am most curious to see how Tyrol and Tigh deal with their identity crisis and I would love to see more of Tory's character (especially in relation to Roslyn). And what's up with all the "T" names?
