Carrie Fisher was on Wait, Wait Don't Tell Me.  She said a few interesting things, including telling the story about Alec Guiness giving Mark Hamill 20 pounds to just go away.

I heard that this weekend, I think she did a pretty good job.  The last person who did as well as she did, IMO, is Dennis Leary.

Speaking of, and anywhere else this would be really quite geeky, but is only moderately geeky here, did anyone else notice on the last episode of Chuck that they named the grenade IG-88?

I haven't read Wishful Drinking the Book, but if it's mostly what's in Wishful Drinking the Play, then it should be very good.

I Twitter. I also occasionally blog on the Escape Pod blog, which if you're here you shouldn't have much trouble finding.

That's the only episode of Chuck I've seen, and yes I caught it.  Is this episode a good measure of the show as a whole?  I liked it.

Yes.

Chuck's big fun, sort of Clerks crossed with the bits of Alias that worked.  Well worth making time for.

I noticed it when I was watching, but then forgot about it.  Very funny.  Thanks for reminding me.  Chuck is full of those references..

I highly recommend it.  Here is a review and some recent comments I've made on my blog about Chuck.

I don't get the IG 88 reference...Can you elaborate?  And yes, Chuck rules.  And don't all Geeks get chicks as hot as Sarah?  I'm pretty sure that's accurate.

Er, I hotlinked IG-88, click through to the wikipedia page and all will be explained.

It's TV. Everyone either loses a few pounds or gains enough weight to be comedically useful. It's reliance on image makes it flawed, but it can't survive without it.
