[person in PSA] deserved worse.

And here's another PSA like they didn't have when we were kids:

The Smart Choice

Mod:Language edit. It's a PSA, and the person's a character that did something not that bright, but the character's a minor and you crossed the line.

Stupid is as stupid does.  I still think the character got off easy.

As for the language, I thought was rather mild.  It's not like I used a four-letter synonym for "female genitalia".  I used a word that hardly makes people blink when it gets spoken on television these days.

Back on topic, I wonder if there weren't ... if not PSAs ... cautionary films, like this when we were younger.  A friend of mine who is twelve years my senior told me about a film he saw in high school driver's ed, called "Red Asphalt".  Doing the math, this would have been around 1972-1974.

(and does nobody have a comment about Ms. Martinez' PSAs?  ;D)

We had to watch some "gory" film in driver's ed, but it was more suggestive of gore, if I remember correctly.  This one was really well done for shock value.  The sound effect for the passenger's neck breaking was rather powerful, too.

From what friend told me, "Red Asphalt" was pretty graphic.

They still show films like that....saw one a couple years ago in parent - kid class.
