EP Flash: Paradox

By Scott Janssens.
Read by Paul S. Jenkins (of Rev Up Review).

I saw nothing when I looked through the eyepiece Franz handed me and told him so.

“Of course not,” said Franz. “Right now, the time sight is set to look into the future. From this point in time, the future doesn’t exist yet, not in any meaningful way, so it can’t be seen.”

Interesting.  I didn't see the end coming, but in retrospect I really should have.  It's sort of an extension of the time travel principal used in Time Cop (yeah yeah I'm actually using a Van Damme movie as an example), where traveling to the future is impossible because it isn't concrete yet.  But the logic in that movie was incomplete because you could RETURN to the future after traveling, which really isn't that different from traveling to the future in the first place.  This was more complete in that it seemed that nothing could travel forward, regardless of point of origin.
