I wanted to relisten to one of my favorite EP eps (no, an EP-EP is not a new Imperial scout vehicle), but I can't remember the title. Perhaps your mighty gestalt brain can assist me?
The protag was a guy who had murdered the clergyman who had molested him, and had been given a death sentence, which had been remitted by an AI in exchange for his services as a First Contact scout on an alien planet. He got infected by a nanoviral AI, the long dormant memory of an extinct ancient race, and plotted to upload himself to the AI, only to discover it was far more savvy and powerful than he had anticipated.
It was a great story, and I'd like to hear it again, so if you can help me, I'd appreciate it!
