Sadly, the jazz band of time has reached the interminable drum solo of fate for Humphrey Lyttleton, who has finally arrived at Mornington Crescent.  He will be missed.

No, that would be a rock drum solo, AKA "several minutes of pointless percussive wankery, during which everybody in the audience who isn't a drummer gets up to buy a soda or go for a piss."  Most jazz drum solos are mercifully brief and much more engaging than their rock counterparts.

Apparently people were laying wreaths and flowers at Mornington Crescent tube station over the weekend. Sadly I was too busy to check if this was true. There's a nice picture on Flickr though.
