Feel free to point out which ones you agree with and which ones you don't and all that.  :)

By the way, if the newly chosen new editor of Escape Pod happens to read this, I'd like to suggest possibly mentioning this in the show.  My Best of Pseudopod and Best of Podcastle articles have been the most popular on my site, and have served to drive a lot of traffic to your stories for downloads.  I'd contact you myself, but, well, you're shrouded in secrecy at the moment.  :)

I agree with pretty much all of your selections.  Rankings might vary.  I probably wouldn't have included "His Master’s Voice" (but it probably deserves a re-listen).

I would have added "Edward Bear and the Very Long Walk" by Ken Scholes and "The Watching People" by Paul Berger to the top ten.

"Edward Bear" was a delight on many levels.  An affinity for Winnie-the-Pooh goes a long way in liking this, but I think it also touches on so many good points even without that association.  The trajety of the lives lost vs. the innocence of the robot toy (and the children) as well as the braveness of Edward in succeeding his mission spoke volumes to my heart.

The Hidden People is much more than a cute story with a twist.  It is a understated crafting of curiosity-born menace.  The native dwellers of this planet have learned to watch and survive; and we discover their world as we watch the researcher with them from their POV.  I have listened to it many times and love it's subtle storytelling.

Oh, I almost forgot "Shadowboxer" by Paul Di Filippo.

This was an intriguing tale from the very first line

I know you disagree with me on this one, but if it were MY list, 26 monkeys Also the Abyss would definitely be up there. I loved that story to death.

"Shadowboxer" was one of the first EP stories I heard and is still one of my all time favorites.

I'd like to hear my options, so I could weigh them, what do you say?
Five pounds?  Six pounds? Seven pounds?
