I'd like to hear my options, so I could weigh them, what do you say?
Five pounds?  Six pounds? Seven pounds?

This one is a bit longer than all the rest...kind of a box of candy in it's own right :)

I really liked this story, it was pretty expertly written. A perfect keyhole view into the MC's life.

Even if this hadn't been tagged with Alasdair's name, I'm pretty sure I'd have guessed it was him off the bat, from comparing this to Pseudopod introductions when he talks about the ocean as viewed from his home on the Isle of Man.  The cruel ocean in this one reflected his POV very well, and the broken pier was a great image of foreboding.  I liked that part better than the city-person element, but that's just me.  Great story, well written.
