I no longer seem to be recieving email notifications for personal messages. They are not in my spam folder. I have changed no settings - "notify by email" is still set to always.

Anyone else having this problem? Thoughts..?

Same here, actually - it's been this way at least since August.

The forum software is up to date, it may be an issue with the databases. The 2.0 version of SMF should be out shortly, I think any major attempts at repair will likely wait for that.

I Twitter. I also occasionally blog on the Escape Pod blog, which if you're here you shouldn't have much trouble finding.

I don't either. Also, when I try to post messages, the forum often ends up posting 4-5 copies.

I use the same version of SMF on my boards and we are not having any problems with notifications.  We may have different packages installed, though.  If you want, I can ask the administrator about it.

Come say hi over at the Beef Beer And Poker forum.

There's so many things could be causing it -- traffic, size of hosting machine, database locks. Really difficult to pin down unless it's there in the SMF forums. ACtually that's a thought! I'll go check...

FWIW...

I'd be happy to help track it down but:
(a) I assume EA already has sufficient technical acumen and
(b) it'd require admin access to the forum and the machine on which it runs which I realise is pretty damn unlikely.

Anyways, just saying.
