My hobbies are:

 • Roleplaying.
 • Wargames (making lists, playing games, painting minis artistically, making terrain).
 • Board games.
 • Reading.

I don't really count writing as a hobby - that's more of a secondary vocation, alongside teaching.

Drawing, painting, guitar, keyboard, gaming, roosterteeth, this fine place, biking, reading, hacky sack, other things I'm forgetting at the moment, and I'm going to be picking up Magic cards and D&D soon.

I'd like to hear my options, so I could weigh them, what do you say?
Five pounds?  Six pounds? Seven pounds?

I think you forgot this hobby.

A lot of gamers on this here forum.  Cool.  Does anyone else find it odd when you encounter people who don't like to play board games??

I read, and I cook.

I like board games a lot, but I don't get too many opportunities to play, so I don't know I'd classify it as a hobby.

Yes! We had a houseguest for several months who wouldn't get into them. We tried so hard to convert her and she just wasn't having any of it! It's weird, she seemed so cool otherwise... :D

I cook. A lot. Frequently over-ambitiously but I like to think I'm pretty good, aside from not getting dinner on the table until an hour after I planned.

Roleplaying, mostly Call of Cthulhu these days.

And yes, boardgames. Chess, Go, Diplomacy, Ticket to Ride (Europe! Switzerland! India!), King of Siam, Carcassonne, Settlers, Pandemic.

To answer the above question, my father will absolutely never play board games, he used to play chess, and may occasionally be talked into that, but nothing else.  He's a sore loser.  My mother only likes classic card games (Canasta, Rummy) and things that are all luck like Skip-Bo (ugh). My brother also won't play anything, mainly because he can never commit to anything for more than an hour without wandering off.  So I depend on friends to play games with, because no one in my family will play.

I'm not sure I'd include cooking as a hobby, but it is an interest.  When I'm not on tight time constraints I can usually pull off something good.  Experiments can be amazingly delicious or total disasters.

I usually don't initiate board games/cards, but I don't mind joining in.

The one thing I do for creative release/sanity retention is my video remixing.  They're not remixes in the traditional sense, and making them eats up a tremendous amount of time that I really don't have, but they're good dumb fun.  I know of only 2 other "remixers" in my age bracket, so it makes me feel younger participating.

It's been a while, but I'm also starting to get back into writing a bit.

Hobbies? What are these "hobbies" of which you speak? Is that something you put in your car?

I read whenever I get a free moment. I also used to play a lot of board games. I was into Go for a while, but I never got a chance to get really good at it. Too busy. Gourmet cooking too. Got pretty good at it until I realized I was the only person who liked what I cooked: everyone else around me just wants cheeseburgers. Meh.
