WELCOME EVERYBODY!  Love seeing new faces!  Feel free to resurrect old episode comment threads if you want!  Threadomancy is not frowned upon at pseudopod!

I'd like to hear my options, so I could weigh them, what do you say?
Five pounds?  Six pounds? Seven pounds?

Hi. Looking forward to browsing through the flash contest submissions. My brain's such mush these days I find it hard to concentrate on big words and . . . stuff.  :P

Hey all,

I am a 29-year old attorney who loves, lives and breathes horror (a tough genre to love). First time dad to a wonderful seven-month old baby and fortunately, my wife puts up with both our shenanigans.

Hey all,

I am a 29-year old attorney who loves, lives and breathes horror (a tough genre to love).

My horror story: getting a question about the Rule Against Perpetuities for my final Performance Test at the end of CA's 3-day bar exam.

...the horror I still feel during those late night sleepless hours...I know one night it'll get me.

Salutations,

Entered the flash fiction contest after much listening. And now I'm here. I like wordy words and scary scares.

Howdy.  Been listening for years, on an off, to all of the podcasts.  I'm especially fond of Pseudopod, and I've registered primarily because of the shout out given to the forums there as of late.

Hi, also new to the forums. I have been listening for almost 4 years from when I got an mp3 player for Father's Day. I first learned about Pseudopod a year before when I picked up a book marker at DragonCon. I hung on to that for the day I eventually got into podcasts... it was just a matter of time.

Hello peeps,

I just signed up and it said here was a good place to leave a first post, so being a good obedient sort (!?) I am so doing.

I'm older than most, been reading SF since before some of you were born, write a bit myself. In fact I've just got home from my local writers' group (critique is good for the soul). And as of last weekend I've finally caught up to date with EscapePod having downloaded and listened through everything since EP330.

Good day everyone. I was 100% I had registered before but for the life of me it must have been through one of my old email addresses.
So hello everyone, huge fan of Escape Artists and have been reading lots of posts. I've read for EA a few years ago and have just narrated another short story which went live yesterday.

My name is Meds (Simon Meddings) I co present a podcast called Waffle On Podcast and I'm one of the lead writers/director at Martian Creative. Love writing and audio work, anything creative in my book is worthy of praise (bar possibly 50 shades of grey which should only be used for cleaning up vomit).

Looking forward to chatting with you all.

My voice is for your ears only.

Hi, Long-time listener, first time poster  ;)
Interests are Horror films, fiction, comics, graphic novels....basically anything bloody and I'm there.
Am currently studying for an MA in Early Modern Literature, focusing on how on-stage violence functions in Shakespeare (among others) and the meaning of wounds in Renaissance texts.
Loving the work here, Escape Artists is such an awesome creative project. Long may it continue.

welcome.  A question on your hatred for 50 shades of grey, is it the way it is written or the subject matter?  I guess what I am asking is do you also hate stuff like the Sleeping Beauty series by A. N. Roquelaure (a pen name used by Anne Rice), The Story of O, and the writings of the Marquis de Sade, or is it just something about how E. L. James?  Just curious.  Also curious that two series, the 50 shades trilogy and the Sleeping Beauty trilogy that many dismiss as poorly written erotica, were both written by women.  Is it the female perspective on it that they object to, or would it be the same if they had been written by men.    I find it interesting how much of Erotica is actually linked with Horror, Sci Fi, and Fantasy.   The sleeping beauty books, the Gor books by John Norman, and how closely many authors link stories about Vampires with sex, just a few examples of this.
