  • Function as an internal quarterback for offtake transactions, soliciting feedback and review of documents from subject matter experts and incorporating feedback into the deal structure and documents
  • Support the Finance Team (in conjunction with the Origination & Commercial Team) to provide commercial inputs/deliverables in connection with project finance transactions
  • Oversee Outside Counsel on select transactions and assist in the selection of such outside counsel

Skills & Qualifications

  • J.D., Required
  • Minimum 3-4 years of top-tier law firm experience working with (renewable) energy project development
  • At least 1-2 years of in-house legal experience with a renewable energy/standalone energy storage developer or investor-owned utility, focusing on resource procurement and M&A preferred
  • Experience leading negotiations of power purchase agreements
  • Experience structuring and negotiating project-scale M&A transactions
  • Knowledge of project finance structures and implications on project development/M&A transactions
  • Strong business acumen with excellent commercial judgment
  • Highly organized with impeccable attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deliver timely, high-quality results
  • A collaborative, entrepreneurial, and inquisitive mindset
  • Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office products Word, Excel, Power Point
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a cross-functional environment with both technical and non-technical team members who are geographically dispersed

Compensation, Location, and Benefits

Highly competitive total compensation from one of North Americas leading energy storage developers, owners and operators. Flexible, work from home or hybrid work from Plus Powers offices in San Francisco, Houston, Chicago, Seattle, and Palm Beach.

The expected salary range* for this position begins at $250,000.
