Position Summary The Bartender is responsible for thesanitation of the bar, kitchen, and food preparation areas. They will followTIPs training in checking IDs and preparing and serving alcoholic beverages to customers.They will follow safe food handling and service practices and work closely withthe food and beverage supervisor and sales staff to service meeting rooms andcatering needs. They will comply with any licensing or regulatory requirements.
Position Type and Expected Hours ofWork This position could be eitherfull-time or part-time. All full-time positions are benefit eligible. Operationaldemands for this position require variations in shift days, starting times andhours worked in a week.
Essential Job Functions • Responsible for the sanitation of thebar, kitchen, and food preparation areas.
• Follow safe food handling and servicepractices at all times.
• Work closely with the food andbeverage supervisor and sales staff to service the meeting rooms, events withcatering and any other needs.
• Practice safety throughout the workshift by removing/correcting any hazards identified.
• Collecting and cleaning dirty dishesand/or glasses during the shift.
• Follow all Lexima/Brand safetypractices such as: wearing personal protective equipment, reading chemicalwarning labels, and all other safe work practices.
• Responsible for both bar and foodservice set up and break down.
• Food presentation meets Lexima/Brandstandards.
• Be attentive at the bar and check withguests frequently.
• Handle meeting room catering needs.Frequently check with contact person of meeting to see if anything else isneeded.
• Must be able to operate juice and milkmachines, commercial refrigerators and freezers, commercial dishwasher, andvacuum cleaner.
• Maintain the kitchen in an orderly andclean fashion.
• Wash dirty dishes as soon as possible.
• Restock any necessary items duringservice hours.
• Monitor both food and bar inventoriesand maintain appropriate levels; do grocery shopping activities.
• Comply at all times with Lexima/Brandcompliance standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hoteloperations.
• Participate in all-employee meetings,events and other functions required by management.
• Charging guests for purchases andfollowing cash handling procedures
• Be familiar with all policies, hotelrules and hotel terminology.
• Attend meetings as required bymanagement.
• Perform any other duties as requestedby management.
Work Environment This position will be located at ahotel and primarily work in the kitchen or restaurant/bar area.
Physical Requirements The physical demandsdescribed here are representative of those that must be met by an employee withor without accommodation to successfully perform the essential functions ofthis job.
• Frequentlyrequired to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools orcontrols, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel,crouch, crawl, talk, or hear.
• Occasionally liftand/or move up to 20 pounds and pushing and/or pulling approximately 50lbs.
• Specific visionabilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, colorvision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to standduring the entire 8-hour shift.

Travel No travel is expected for thisposition. Travel for annual training and conferences may be required.
Required Education and Experience • Food handling certificate in states orcounties where required.
• TIPs training preferred (Training willbe provided).
• Previous bartending experiencepreferred.
• Hands-on experience in cashier duties.
• Attention to cleanliness and safety.
• Patience and customer-orientedapproach.
• Excellent people skills with afriendly attitude.
• Must be fluent in English.
