Tanker truck driver
Average pay: $980-$1,490 weekly
Home time: Every other week
Experience: All CDL holders
Overview
- Haul 75% non-hazardous freight in tanker trailers.
- Get home for three days every other weekend.
Pay and bonus potential
- Mileage pay, plus hourly pay while on duty, not driving.
- Weekly performance pay.
- Earn up to $0.03 more per mile by obtaining additional CDL certifications.
- $7,500 sign-on bonus paid over 12 monthly payments in your first year for experienced drivers.
- $5,000 sign-on bonus paid over 12 monthly payments in your first year for inexperienced drivers.
- Paid orientation.
- Paid time off after 6 months, plus 6 days of holiday pay per year.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Drivers License (CDL).
- Tanker and HazMat endorsements required at time of hire.
- TWIC card preferred required to start process within 60 days of hire.
- Live within 50 miles of Indianapolis, IN or 150 miles of Chicago, IL.
