Job Title: Cloud Developer - AWS Connect Location: Woodlawn, Maryland Type: Contract-to-Hire Work Model: Onsite Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance Citizenship Requirement: U.S. Citizenship required Position Overview We are seeking a skilled AWS Cloud Developer to support a large-scale federal agency focused on delivering essential health and human services to millions of Americans. This is a high-impact role that combines cloud engineering with mission-driven work in the public sector. As part of a collaborative development team supporting a major government transformation initiative, you’ll help modernize contact center operations using AWS Connect and other AWS services. This role is ideal for candidates with a passion for building secure, scalable, and user-focused cloud solutions that make a real difference. Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement AWS Connect solutions, including new applications or modifications to existing systems Analyze existing operations and recommend enhancements or updates Maintain and improve current processes in response to evolving requirements or platform updates Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document system requirements Create and maintain process flow documentation Develop solutions within integrated cloud environments Required Qualifications Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field 7+ years of experience in enterprise-scale development environments 7+ years of hands-on experience with AWS Cloud platform 3+ years of experience working specifically with Amazon Connect 3+ years of experience using Node.js, Python, or Java for development 3+ years of experience designing call routing and messaging systems Technical Skills: Deep expertise in AWS Cloud and AWS Connect development Strong knowledge of IVR systems, ACD (Automatic Call Distribution), skill-based routing, and live chat functionality Experience documenting and designing process flows Solid verbal and written communication skills System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé, ALTA IT Services, and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
