We are looking for a dedicated Collections Specialist to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. In this role, you will focus on managing and resolving outstanding accounts while ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures. This is a Contract to permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity for growth in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee collection efforts for both commercial and consumer accounts.
• Communicate with clients to resolve outstanding balances and negotiate payment plans.
• Monitor and maintain accurate records of customer accounts and payment histories.
• Collaborate with internal teams to address billing discrepancies and ensure timely resolutions.
• Analyze account data to identify trends and implement effective collection strategies.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations related to credit and collections.
• Prepare detailed reports on collection activities and account statuses for management review.
• Utilize industry-standard collection processes to achieve targets and reduce outstanding balances.
• Provide exceptional customer service while handling sensitive financial matters.• Proven experience in commercial and consumer collections.
• Strong knowledge of credit and collection processes.
• Familiarity with billing and account reconciliation procedures.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to analyze data and identify effective collection strategies.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records.
• Proficiency in relevant software and financial systems.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
