Controller | Caledonia, MI

Salary Range: $121,000 - $170,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process and reporting.
• Develop and oversee the annual budget and periodic financial forecasts.
• Lead all cost accounting functions, including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
• Establish and maintain robust internal controls and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
• Analyze manufacturing performance, provide insights, and identify cost reduction opportunities.
• Coordinate external audits and manage tax compliance activities.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
• In-depth knowledge of cost accounting principles, inventory valuation, and standard costing methodologies.
• Proficiency with major ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting for manufacturing operations.

Bonus Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise with major manufacturing ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) beyond standard user functions.
• Experience leveraging business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for advanced financial analysis and reporting.
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies in a financial context.
• Previous experience with financial due diligence or integration of acquired entities.
