Data Entry Specialist – 77032

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Data Entry Specialist with hands-on experience using CargoWise to support our freight forwarding operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately entering, updating, and maintaining shipment and customer data within CargoWise to ensure smooth logistics workflows and compliance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Enter and maintain shipment data—including bookings, consolidations, documentation, and tracking updates—in CargoWise with a high level of accuracy.
• Review incoming documents (commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, airway bills, etc.) for accuracy and completeness.
• Support import and export operations by creating and updating job files in CargoWise.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, customs regulations, and industry standards.
• Communicate with internal teams (operations, customer service, accounting) to resolve discrepancies or missing information.
• Assist with generating reports, labels, and documentation directly from CargoWise.
• Maintain organized digital records and ensure timely data updates for shipment milestones.
• Perform routine data audits to identify and correct errors or inconsistencies.
• Provide administrative support as needed to operations and logistics teams.

Qualifications

1–2 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain operations.

Hands-on experience with CargoWise (essential requirement).

Strong understanding of import/export processes, documentation, and terminology.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Skills

Experience with customs clearance processes or compliance documentation.

Familiarity with CargoWise modules such as forwarding, customs, and accounting.

Previous experience supporting ocean, air, or domestic freight operations.
