This position offers the potential for a long-term opportunity, as it is a 3-6 month temp-to-hire role. As a dental assistant, you'll play a vital role in ensuring a clean and organized environment for our patients. Responsibilities: This is a full-time position with hours from Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. If you excel in this temporary assignment, there is potential for a permanent position, as we consider candidates for conversion to full-time based on performance and fit. Here's an overview of what you'll be doing: Clinic setup: Help prepare the dental clinic by ensuring everything is in place and ready for action, following the Dental Board of California's guidelines for infection control. Your attention to detail will set the stage for a smooth workflow. Assisting the dentist: Work closely with the dentist during procedures, providing assistance as directed. This includes tasks like suctioning and passing instruments, ensuring the dentist can focus on delivering exceptional care. Autoclave monitoring: Take charge of monitoring the autoclave's effectiveness. Conduct regular spore testing (biological monitoring) and maintain accurate records. Cleaning and sterilization: Maintain a high standard of cleanliness by sterilizing instruments, sanitizing room surfaces, and keeping dental equipment in top shape.
