Virtual Learning Support Position

We seek qualified ASL interpreters to join our remote educational team supporting deaf and hard of hearing students. This position involves providing professional interpretation services through advanced virtual platforms, ensuring students maintain full access to their educational programs.

Role Overview

Provide interpretation services 35-37.5 hours per week supporting students across grades K-12 in virtual classroom settings. You'll work with approximately 22-32 students, facilitating communication during live instruction, group activities, and educational interactions in diverse subject areas and learning environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver professional ASL interpretation during synchronous virtual classes
• Support clear communication between all classroom participants
• Interpret for virtual educational meetings, conferences, and evaluations
• Maintain accurate service documentation and progress notes
• Uphold professional standards and ethical guidelines for interpretation
• Work collaboratively with educational staff and support teams

Digital Learning Platform

Required Credentials

Mandatory Qualifications:

• EIPA score of 3.5 minimum for all applicants
• Educational interpreting experience minimum 2 years in school settings
• Professional home office equipped for video interpretation
• High-speed internet connectivity with consistent performance
• Distraction-free workspace for professional service delivery

Preferred Qualifications:

• EIPA score of 4.0 or higher achievement
• Written EIPA certification completed successfully
• RID or NIC certification with written examination component
• Virtual interpreting experience preferred
• Knowledge of K-12 curriculum and educational practices

• Professional headset with microphone for optimal audio quality
