Electrical Technician (Day Shift)
Location: Tulsa, OK
Pay: Depending on Experience (DOE)
Electrical Technician – Day Shift
Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician in Tulsa, OK to perform maintenance, installation, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical systems by applying expert electrical principles. The ideal candidate will have strong technical abilities, a commitment to safety, and the initiative to solve complex issues in a fast-paced environment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Repair and replace defective parts in controllers, switchboards, switches, conductors, and other electrical fixtures.
Install, maintain, and repair electrical components on machinery and equipment, including transformers, generators, exciters, hydraulic and pneumatic devices.
Perform preventive maintenance and repair of field electrical systems, devices, equipment, and components.
Test solid-state circuitry to identify defective parts in digital and analog systems, including cell prox circuits for frequency and 4–20 milliamp control circuits.
Install enhancements and major upgrades to electrical subsystems.
Design and modify motor power control equipment circuits.
Read, interpret, and work from blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
Prepare work schedules and coordinate activities with other teams or divisions.
Plan and lay out work from instructions, sketches, blueprints, and drawings.
Ensure accuracy and completion of all preventive maintenance tasks.
Initiative Expectations:
Improve management of electrical parts to ensure proper balance between cost, availability, and inventory levels.
Promote a safe, efficient, and professional work environment.
Identify solutions to unique or complex electrical issues.
Physical Demands:
Frequently lift up to 50 lbs; occasionally lift 65 lbs from floor to shoulder height.
Occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 100 lbs.
Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, balancing, lifting, carrying, and reaching/handling with arms, hands, and fingers.
Ability to crawl and work in narrow or confined spaces.
Frequent repetitive movements such as hammering, wrench turning, and screwdriver use.
Manual dexterity sufficient for fine electrical work.
Normal vision (corrective lenses acceptable).
Exposure to cold, heat, noise, mechanical/electrical fumes, and odors.
Must be able to work more than 8 hours in a shift on occasion.
