We are seeking a Full-Time Firearms Instructor with extensive experience in defensive tactics to join our team. This role requires a dedicated professional who can deliver high-quality instruction, ensure the highest standards of safety, and engage effectively with students at all skill levels.ResponsibilitiesInstruct civilians in firearms safety, marksmanship, and defensive shooting techniques in a professional and engaging mannerConduct firearms training courses, emphasizing safety, accuracy, and defensive tacticsProvide hands-on instruction in classroom, training facility, and live-fire range environmentsEnsure compliance with all safety protocols, range regulations, and DCF Guns standardsCollaborate with and support the Director of Training in planning, scheduling, and delivering training programsAssist the Director of Training with curriculum development, course updates, and program improvementsAdapt training programs to accommodate different skill levels and learning stylesEvaluate student progress and provide clear, constructive feedback for improvementMaintain a safe, professional, and positive training environmentStay current on industry best practices, laws, and regulations related to firearms trainingAssigned to a primary location (either Colorado Springs East/West or Castle Rock) while remaining available to support training operations at all DCF Guns locations as needed.QualificationsMinimum of 5 years of experience in firearms instruction and defensive tacticsPrior experience training civilians preferredStrong knowledge of firearms safety, marksmanship, and defensive shootingCertified Firearms Instructor credentials (e.g., NRA, USCCA, or equivalent)Background in law enforcement, military, or private security is a plusExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work evenings and weekends as requiredBenefits Compensation: This is a full-time position, paid hourly or salary depending on experience and qualifications.
