The Company
Souk is a feast for the senses - a globally inspired bakery, marketplace and café. We are the sister store of the award-winning bakery, The Sweet Lobby and vision of 2-Time Food Network Champion, Winnette McIntosh Ambrose. In addition to our baked goods, our offerings include espresso, spice-forward signature beverages like our beet-rose-cardamon latte and a couple hundred spices from around the world! We have recently unveiled our newly renovated space and are seeking team members who love people and love what we do! Both senior and entry level positions are available!

The Position:
Souk is hiring part time and full time baristas/bakery associates. Are you passionate about making others happy? Do you adore French-inspired pastries? Do you love coffee and spices? Are you genuinely elated when your customers leave with a smile? Then we are looking for YOU!

In this position you will:
• Hand-craft numerous espresso-based drinks and our signature Souk beverages, create our custom spice blends, offer our house-made pastries, fulfill custom catering and wholesale orders and more!
• Set the tone for the store in creating a welcoming, clean and beautiful environment.
• Demonstrate calm level headedness while under pressure and the ability to make intelligent spur-of-the-moment decisions.
• Serve as a liaison between our baking team and the Front of House team to ensure smooth order fulfillment, moving seamlessly between production and customer service.
• Help ensure that all correspondence with clients is efficiently and promptly handled, with enthusiasm!
• Assist with the day to day details of the store's operations including ordering, inventory and stocking, team member scheduling, facility maintenance.
• Help ensure that orders (wholesale and retail) are fulfilled with the highest attention to detail.

Qualifications and Requirements:
• College Degree (strongly preferred)
• Genuine admiration for The Sweet Lobby and Souk brands
• Excellent physical stamina, including willingness to happily be on your feet

-Full and Part time positions available
-Previous experience as a in food industry and/or barista is a plus
-Must be available on Saturdays
