Hourly Pay Range:

$30.46 - $45.69 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Medical Social Worker - Inpatient Psych Adolescence/Young Adults - Days

Position Highlights:

• Position : Medical Social Worker
• Location : Highland Park Hospital
• Full Time/Part Time : Part Time (20 Hours per week)
• Hours : Day shift, 7:30am-4pm;
• Required Trave l: sometimes to Evanston Hospital
• Holidays : Yes

What you will do:

• Provide direct social work services to patient and their families as part of the Adult Behavioral Health Center Psych inpatient team
• Address the psychosocial needs of the patients and their families in order to enable them to participate fully in the plan of care
• Completed psychosocial assessments, provides counseling/emotional support, assesses and reports cases of suspected abuse and/or neglect, advocates for patient rights (e.g. as per The Illinois Mental Health Code), and facilitates appropriate dispositions and/or arranges post-hospital services.

What you will need:

• Education : Master?s degree from an accredited school of social work required
• License: LSW or LCSW license required
• Experience : Two years post-graduate experience preferred; healthcare and/or mental health experience preferred
• Skills: Ability to work within a health care environment. Demonstrates strong team work skills. Knowledgeable regarding state and federal laws related to abuse and neglect and the Illinois Mental Health Code. Crisis Intervention Skills. Knowledgeable about Medicare, Medicaid, and other payer requirements. Demonstrated knowledge of social work ethics and confidentiality of patient information. Demonstrated knowledge of age-specific developmental issues and the ability and willingness to work with diversity.
• Inpatient adult psych clinical experience preferred
