Job Description

An exciting opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist specializing in school-based practice. This position supports elementary-aged students to enhance their motor skills, sensory processing, and overall functional performance within the school setting. The role is based in Camas, WA, and is offered on a contract basis for the current school year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs.
  • Implement therapeutic interventions to improve fine and gross motor skills, sensory integration, and self-care abilities.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to support students educational goals.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and regulatory guidelines.
  • Attend individualized education program (IEP) meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in pediatric school settings.
  • Strong knowledge of developmental milestones and therapeutic techniques appropriate for elementary students.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with state education regulations and IEP procedures.
