Position Summary
The production scheduler is responsible for effective production scheduling in accordance with outlined production and demand plans.
Essentials:
Responsible for effective production scheduling in accordance with outlined production and demand plans.
Perform all job duties within Croda's safety, health and environmental regulations. All other duties as assigned by
management.
Production scheduling to meet customer demand and finished product stock targets. (80%)
•Accurate and timely day to day scheduling and prioritization of process orders in response to production plans
and demand plans as well as changing business needs.
•Completion of production schedules that maximize capacity, minimize stocking levels, and improve OEE while
minimizing downtime throughout all production resources.
•Continually review proposed output and make decisions on the viability of turning planned order
requirements into firm process orders.
•Ensure all forward demands are being met and take appropriate action to add, move or cancel production to
minimize working capital.
•Identify and action reworking of material to continually minimize blocked and aging stock with input from Quality.
•Ability to problem-solve scheduling issues to reliably and accurately meet established KPIs.
Other Duties (20%)
•Investigate and respond to customer complaints.
•Effectively communicate the production schedule and any issues arising from it to production, customer service,
sales, and manager.
•Key contributor to production planning in regular meetings, providing key scheduling information to improve the
efficiency of the manufacturing process and capacity models.
Desirables:
3-5 years of experience in materials management and / or production planning modules.
Advanced knowledge of manufacturing operations and schedules, chemical industry preferred. Ability to schedule multiple activities
with competing priorities.
Excellent communication and writing skills. Must have written and oral proficiency in the
English language.
Ability to travel.
Knowledge of SAP.
Education: High school diploma required, AA or AS preferred.
