Coolab Foods LLC. Franklin Park, IL., producer of Ice Cream products sold nationwide and even beyond seeks a hands-on Production Supervisor who understand how to effectively manage by using effective leadership and motivational skills coupled with operational maturity.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Supervise the execution of production and logistics plans through operators and other hourly labor in production.
• Participate in the development and implementation of plans and policies to ensure compliance in all areas of responsibility.
• Operate production lines in accordance with FDA guidelines, GMPs, and HACCP/SQF program guidelines.
• Direct and guide operators and their activities in execution of production.
• Responsible for shift change management and communication as well as daily production standards and labor reconciliation.
• Develop employees to ensure compliance and achieve quality
• Resolve problems and mitigate operational issues that result in negative performance.
• Support Lean Training as directed by Plant Manager.
• Owns regulatory compliance and food safety process, including proper sanitary condition, allergen control, pest control, food safety policy, employee safety policies and procedures.
• Support and execute relevant projects as needed.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred
• Minimum 2 years’ experience
• Previous ice cream manufacturing experience a plus
• Understanding of GMP principles
• Process, packing, and mechanical experience strongly preferred
• Experience managing people, with ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization

Basic Qualifications:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective time management.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complexity.
• Bi-lingual, English, Spanish preferred.
• Independent, self-sufficient with a strong sense of urgency.

• Job Type: Full-time
• Pay: From $75,000.00 per year plus medical, dental and vision insurances, STD, Life insurances.  Paid holidays and vacation.
