Position Overview: The Sequencing Research & Genomics (SRG) team at Client is seeking a dedicated, talented, and motivated molecular biologist to support Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) projects within the Protein Homeostasis Thematic Research Center (TRC). This role involves hands-on laboratory work and project management, including tracking NGS research inquiries and organizing information to facilitate target discovery and assay development. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional scientific teams and contribute to drug discoveries impacting patient health. Responsibilities: Ensure smooth lab operations, including RNA/DNA extraction, NGS library prep & QC, and loading sequencers (e.g., Illumina, Oxford Nanopore). Track projects and develop organizational guidelines for sequencing pipelines. Review sequencing data quality control stats and document them. Provide technical guidance to stakeholders. Maintain detailed records of experiments. Work independently or with supervision on new assay and protocol development. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with 0-3 years of experience in molecular biology, biotechnology, or biochemistry. Experience with Electronic Lab Notebooks and project management tools like Jira and Confluence. Experience managing external vendors and CROs for NGS research services. Proficiency in DNA/RNA extraction, NGS library prep & QC, PCR, qPCR, cloning, etc. Strong understanding of techniques and experimental design skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Team player with a proactive attitude. Effective time management skills. Exposure to cell biology techniques and functional assays is a plus.
