Purpose This positions primary responsibility is to develop, enhance, and maintain Salesforce applications that support business objectives and ongoing operations. The Salesforce Developer plays a key role throughout the software development life cyclecontributing to requirement analysis, solution design, configuration, coding, testing, and deployment. This role ensures that solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with both technical specifications and evolving business needs. Responsibilities Development: Build scalable Salesforce applications using Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components (LWC); customize the platform with custom applications, automations, and enhancements across the Salesforce ecosystem Write Quality Code: Produce efficient, secure, and maintainable code; participate in code reviews Manage Integrations: Establish and optimize data integrations between Salesforce and external systems Leverage Automation Tools: Use Flow to automate business processes, bridging to Apex where necessary Troubleshoot and Debug: Identify, diagnose, and resolve application and integration issues Support Testing and Deployment: Create unit tests, assist with system testing, and manage deployment activities across environments Project Planning Review Scope: Verify hours estimated align with requirements Create Project Plan: Develop and manage detailed project plans and schedules; monitor progress, mitigate risks, and provide regular status updates to stakeholders Project Design and Configuration Document User Stories: Elicit, refine, and document user stories and acceptance criteria aligned with business goals Formulate Effective Solutions: Analyze requirements to formulate effective solutions Configure Salesforce: Perform hands-on configuration to fit business and technical requirements Trusted Advisor: Provide guidance and best practices that align technology solutions with evolving business goals Project Management Facilitate Meetings: Prepare materials and lead discussions for alignment across stakeholders Demonstrate Project Delivery: Demo work, gather feedback, and adjust as needed Issue Escalation: Follow escalation processes to address scope changes or project issues with proactive communication Project Deliverables: Document and adhere to project methodology and ensure proper documentation throughout Test and Train: Write test cases, coordinate testing, and deliver end-user training Deliver the Project: Drive projects to completion on time, within scope, and on budget Collaboration Lead the Project Team: Provide leadership and oversight to internal and client-facing project teams Develop Customer Relationships: Build and nurture long-term customer relationships Identify Opportunities: Engage with customers to identify areas for future business Partner with Account Owner: Collaborate with the account manager throughout sales and project delivery Minimum Skills And Experience Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related technical field Development Experience: 25 years of hands-on Salesforce development experience (Apex, Visualforce, LWC) Certifications: Salesforce Administrator and Platform Developer I required; Platform App Builder or Advanced Administrator preferred Platform Knowledge: Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, configuration capabilities, and development best practices SDLC Methodology: Experience with SDLC methodologies, preferably Agile/Scrum Apex Proficiency: Proficient in writing scalable, maintainable Apex code Data Skills: Experience with relational databases, data modeling, and ETL tools Gap Analysis: Ability to conduct gap analysis between business requirements and system functionality Technical Leadership: Experience in leading technical design discussions Documentation: Ability to produce technical documentation including specs and designs Code Quality: Active contributor to code reviews and ensuring code quality Collaboration: Strong communication skills and experience working in cross-functional teams Disclaimer: This is not necessarily an exhaustive list of responsibilities or requirements.
