Job Description

A full-time Occupational Therapist position is available to support K-12 students in a school setting located in Chesapeake, VA. This contract opportunity spans the full school year, providing direct, on-site therapy services to assist students in achieving their developmental and functional goals.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver personalized occupational therapy interventions to K-12 students based on individual education plans (IEPs).
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to design and implement effective therapy strategies.
• Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and treatment plans in compliance with school regulations.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute expertise to support student success.
• Ensure a safe and welcoming therapeutic environment.

Qualifications/Experience:

• Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in school-based services.
• Proven ability to manage a diverse K-12 caseload efficiently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, families, and staff.
• Commitment to on-site, full-time work of 35 hours per week.
• Familiarity with IEP processes and school system requirements.
