If you do not meet the previously mentioned civil service criteria, you will not be considered for an interview. The Department of Design & Construction, Safety & Site Support Division, seeks a Senior Safety Accident Investigator. Responsibilities include on-site accident investigations, root cause analysis, safety document review, data analysis, field audits, and report preparation. The role involves collaboration with construction teams, safety compliance review, and development of safety procedures. Additional duties include performance evaluations, progress reporting, and review of safety plans and submittals. Authorization to work in the United States is required. Minimum Qualifications: One year of full-time experience supervising project management or construction projects valued at $1,000,000+; or equivalent education and experience as detailed in the original description. Preferred Skills: Excellent organizational, verbal, and written skills; construction-related safety knowledge (OSHA, DOB, DEP); valid Motor Vehicle License and ability to drive in NYC.
